Free Throws For Kids

Mission: To show hope and God’s love to kids and families at Cincinnati & Dayton Children’s Hospital in a very practical way.

How PromoSpark Helps: Free Throws for Kids was started by Mark and Sarah Johnston, owners of PromoSpark. They produce the team T-shirts free of charge, donate the bags and the goodies that go into them for each family, and give back with their time volunteering throughout the year and at the event.

Reach Out Lakota

Mission: To assist families in the Lakota School District who, through some form of hardship, have found it difficult to support their families.

How PromoSpark Helps: Every holiday season PromoSpark adopts families for Christmas, donating gifts to each member of the family.

Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities

Mission: To support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to successfully live, work and learn in the community.

How PromoSpark Helps: The PromoSpark staff volunteers at sporting events throughout the year. They provide Christmas gifts to a family in need through Butler DD’s Adopt A Family program, as well as hosts fast breaks for individuals in the community. PromoSpark wants to ensure that every person is treated with the dignity and respect they deserve.

Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati

Mission: To provide a ‘home away from home’ for families with critically ill children while receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. They surround families with hope and support and bring joy and a sense of normalcy to children as they heal.

How PromoSpark Helps: PromoSpark volunteered to prepare a meal for every family staying at the Ronald McDonald House, which was about 78 guests. The RMH has since hired a full time chef to prepare healthy meals for the families. Free Throws For Kids was able to provide a salad bar and keep it stocked for the first year due to the amazing fundraising efforts of their 2016 event.

Matthew 25: Ministries

Mission: To help care for those in need around the world by providing relief, aid and supplies to those hit by disasters.

How PromoSpark Helps: PromoSpark donates excess apparel inventory to M2M several times a year. Donations run into the 1,000’s and include t-shirts, sweatshirts and more.

Bike for Tikes

Mission: To help raise money and awareness for the Children’s Miracle Network by hosting a 180 mile bike ride from Bowling Green State University to Cincinnati, OH. The ride takes 3 days and riders raise $400+ each to participate.

How PromoSpark Helps: Started by Mark and Sarah Johnston in college, the kick off event is still sponsored by them. 140+ people are served a spaghetti dinner cooked by Mark and Sarah and their team the night before the ride begins.
