Unlimited Promotions was founded in 2001 by Sarah Hamlin and Mark Johnston. As college sweethearts, they saw a need for improvement in the screen printing and promotional product business, and began their adventure. Within the first several months Mark proposed to Sarah, so they planned a wedding and ran a new business within the same year.
In 2004, after growth and success in the face of overwhelming odds, they had the company certified as a corporation. In 2012, the company was renamed to PromoSpark, because a company out of Massachusetts had the same company name and website domain. To compete within the global market, Mark and Sarah saw the importance for a company name to match a website domain.
PromoSpark provides complete solutions in branded apparel and promotional products. Sarah and Mark’s mission statement from inception has been to provide distinctive, quality products and outstanding customer service to gain the respect and trust of our customers, suppliers and vendors.
Sarah structured the foundation of the company, taking point on management, finances, and fulfillment. Mark provides vision to PromoSpark, leading the sales and marketing of the company. Together they have built PromoSpark into what it is today.
Mark and Sarah started without loans or assistance, making only $12,000 between the two of them their first year, while working out of their apartment. Over time, with lots of hard work, they have now grown the team and have major national accounts that include the American Heart Association, YMCA, Cincinnati Reds and Kroger.
Giving back is very important to Mark and Sarah. Not only does the PromoSpark team volunteer within the community on a monthly basis, but in 2013, Mark had the vision to start a philanthropy called Free Throws For Kids. In only a few short years, Free Throws For Kids has been able to raise over $500,000 and help more than 1,400 families at Children’s Hospital.
Mark and Sarah look forward to new projects and the always evolving industry. They are both so grateful for the amazing customers and PromoSpark team.
